‘2 & A Half’ was inspired by coming to the end of a long term relationship, and the thought of never again speaking to someone who, for so long, was the person LTtheMonk was closest to in his life. He was inspired by the thought of feeling nostalgic for a past love, and how that can lead you to have a rose-tinted perspective on the relationship, not remembering why it ended after being together for so long. So, in the song LT also tries to deal with the idea of getting back together with the person, and sinking back into the same old cycles, to then remember why you broke up, ultimately knowing that some people are just not meant to be.
